We do. First one was shut down about 2 years ago because they used unauthorized pictures of the ALPA logo or Spirit logo. I can't remember. It's been restarted but not as popular as the old one. Plus, there's speculation the moderators kick anyone out who doesn't agree with them.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying here and what your intentions are. The unity behind this petition is great! The problem I see is read between the lines..... "This petition demands that the Spirit Pilot’s Association Master Executive Council of the Airline Pilot’s Association will not accept nor ratify any new agreement with Spirit Airlines without including full 100% retroactive pay for all membership from the amendable date of August 1, 2015." Nowhere in the direct quote from the petition are the words "company or management". All the ask is being put on SPAMEC. Don't you think all the ask should be put on Spirit management? Maybe something like this..."This petition demands 100% retroactive pay from Spirit Management from August 1, 2015 on top of a TA that offers industry blah blah blah....nor will this pilot group accept anything less."

Like I've said before, I am all in favor of dfw getting their own local, just now isn't the time. As for the decreasing ask, just look at all the infighting caused by a simple petition. You don't think that knowing the ask for a 12 year cap went from 350.96 down to 348.23 is going to cause turmoil? Can you imagine if they had the audacity to go to a 15 yr scale? What if the slope increased .005 degrees?
Remember, we are talking about people that refuse to use their own laptop to complete a one-time training module because the company didn't buy them said laptop. People that would go through the monkey-motion of relaying a complex message to DX via a not so pilot savvy ops agent instead of the much easier (AND SAFER) cell phone call because the company doesn't give them a company phone. BTW, my room doesn't have a tub, and where's my %^$& grab and go?

I don't want to sling mud, but it seems yall are afraid of everything. Your afraid that a petition, with no real power, is going to put the NC on a corner. Your afraid that a new lec is going to mess up the power structure(which it is, but that's a good thing). Your afraid the new lec will mess up negotiations(I don't think it will). I personally don't think any of this will happen. Your afraid that a couple of names that are associated with this movement is going to mean that everyone associated is being indoctrinated and turned into mindless minions and that just isn't the case.
We can agree to disagree because we are beating a dead horse. But then again, civil debate is where the magic happens.

Well, I'm a little confused. The infighting you speak of didn't come from the petition. We are all pretty happy with the petition. Yes, wording may be a little off, but it got the point across. The fighting came from the people who oppose the petition.

What you aren't wrapping your head around is that there is nothing you can do to force a new local, no matter how much you argue and complain. Recall a rep? good job... NO LOCAL FOR YOU! EB won't allow it, but by all means, pour a bunch of energy into it. The rest of us will work on a CBA while you chase your tail.

Here's the game plan, for the unfamiliar:
CB and company push for a recall. Get one or both of their guys in. MH runs for CA rep in FLL. They might get one other rep in FLL. They push their agenda, which definitely includes a recall of the NC! CB is (by his own admission) of questionable character - he was called out by an NTSB judge for lying! Google it! MH is a pathological liar. The people that are indulging them in those chat rooms are being led to idealogical slaughter! Waken up! Watch the conversations that take place in there. You're being manipulated.
The NC will walk a tightrope if they publish their ask. This group has proved its maturity level, when they allowed MH and CB to control the narrative!
