Hiring to resume in earnest

Scott I'll see you 1 RJ/EMB Kirby say's we don't any new hire pilots! He's happy with 0 growth.
If you mean over 500 a year, yes. But we still retire more than a pilot a day between now and 2020 which means we should have 2 new hire classes each month with 15+ pilots in each one just to cover retirements. We are still getting 787s, 737 Maxipads, and those Chinese Airbus planes in 2018.

They called me Slim. And I flew the Spirit of St Louis to Europe.
It is now hanging in the Smithsonian Air and Space museum by the Wright Flyer, above the Apollo 11 Comand Module.
It was fun being on stage that one time with Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins. Only Chuck Yeager could have pulled it off. If memory serves me, Bob Hoover, the best stick and rudder man ever was there, as well.

You can tell what airlines are looking for by the questions asked on the application. If it's not a box you can click on the application it probably won't do much for you.

Is that worth your time and effort?
If you haven't already, take a look at How To Land A Top Paying Airline Job by Rick Hogan. It's $10 on Kindle. It's pretty good at teaching how to turn your experiences into great answers for the "tell me about a time" interview questions. Reading it sooner, rather than later, will help in making decisions such as this as you'll have a better idea of how it can help you in the hiring process.
For example, "Tell me about one of your weaknesses". You could talk about how you felt that your lack of civilian experience felt like a weakness as compared to other pilots with civilian backgrounds so you sought out ways to learn more about part 121 operations including earning your dispatcher certification and include an example or two of the types of things you learned.
