Any ideas of when the company will post January class dates?

Early December would be my guess.

Some people on here will swear the company said they were aiming for an 1800 pilot list when in reality it was a mid level manager with zero idea of what was actually going on. I get that we have people who don't yet understand managements nonsense but every other word from them for the rest of your career will be a lie. Repeating that nonsense isn't going to somehow make it come true. These are the good times but during the bad times this rumor mill loving BS train can really do damage to your fellow pilots.
So the 18,000 pilots on UAL's list came from a pilot who was going through UAL Captain Upgrade school. Are you saying that those schools are a waste of time since "middle mgmt" is apparently talking out of their arse with no real information to pass? If so, why even do the class and why even put out such wildly inaccurate information, it just seems to serve to make the pilots even more cynical then they already are.

Two years ago at the the 3 day standardization meeting. Was said by OM himself. I was there. Still doesn't make it true. But that is a long way from some middle manager at captain upgrade school.

BTW did you notice that hiring came to screeching halt about 10 seconds after SK was hired?

The pause in hiring occurred when we canceled the orders for last Gen 737's, which did coincide with SK and OM reviewing the aircraft purchase commitments of the prior management team.

Agreed that was the prime cause. Basically nothing said by any manger at this airline can be trusted. Ever.

Keep that in mind and you'll seldom be surprised or disappointed.

I don't trust SK any further than I can throw him.
