I think historical average is to take whatever number heard at the time, then take off 40-50%.
Doubtful. All they gotta do is look good (enough) to the shareholders and they’ll be fine. Wash, rinse, repeat.......

Go look at the reserve staffing for SFO 320 for the next week in both seats........there’s nobody left and it’s January. I said it back in OCT and I’ll say it again if we don’t get atleast 100-200 more pilots online by this summer we’re toast. We were already behind the power curve now we’re completly screwed. I’m not sure who is to blame but I’m surprised heads haven’t rolled yet.

Well it’s not going to take much for us not to look good enough and if our performance falls off a cliff due to staffing they will have to fix it by summer of 2019.

I think we’re already tired. I’ve had premium opportunities in my seat every month since last summer...and with 88hr lines in February and no ability to drop because reserve coverage is already min manned, this math isn’t hard to figure out.

Yup. I quit SRMing because I was ignoring 99.9% of the phone calls anyway.

There's definitely a disparity among the various BES. I'm at day 115 since I last turned a wheel. 2 FSBs and a landings class is all I've done "outside" the house. Lots of unused SCs thrown in there. I thought for sure I would be flying over Christmas, but I dropped dead for landings on 9 Dec and did not go to Landings class until 26 Jan.
I'm at 49% in base as DCA 756 FO. I fully expect to be busy this summer. I bid reserve during the school year intentionally. It's nice to be around for a lot of the kids' events.
I understand my example is on the other extreme in comparison to the aforementioned examples.
