Ewr is a way better commute for me so I avoid LGA all that I can . Sadly I don’t avoid it enough . And the BS 94 dollars doesn’t cover squat .

Sure if your report and end times are around the times that public transportation runs then cost wise will be fine . Otherwise taking an Uber for 140 dollars is a punch in the di*k. Surely it’s not always that’s pricey but the 94.00 $ hardly covers both directions coming from EWR. I mean I don’t need to profit off of the 94 like some locals do, but I don’t want to loose money either .

Company needs to adjust this and simply cover actual cost of transportation .

FA shuttle is great although not reliable as it’s not truly for us

Exactly. But for some who live on the other side...like Connecticut...or in the city it makes a ton of sense. I’ve done exactly 2 LGA trips in 5+ years. Both were trips I traded into hoping I could trade out and never was able to. It’s a total pain for those with crashpads or hotels in EWR. A hotel in EWR is $115 our the door. Both times at LGA it was $200. Not sure about the airbus but 73 trips out of LGA seem to have a lot more super early starts and late finishes. I’d spend $200 on the LGA Marriott on BOTH ends or sleep in the airport on te back end which is a no go. But I’m sure there are some who love the LGA trips on both fleets. I would if I lived east of the city or in Manhattan.

I just looked it up in the staffing report. The 2008 U hire in my 2013 class is 200 numbers senior to those of us who were brand new. In 5 years he only gained 200 numbers on us. Gotta feel for those guys and the rest who got destroyed in the aughts.

Guys hired in the late 1990s are only 1k senior to us. Horrible...

Airbnb around lga are $60-70 and walkable. Just another option, but the good ones go early.

I agree AirB&B is a good option. Prob is you have to commit to them pretty early. And I try to swap out of ten
Up until the last min. During the summer months esp. they are mostly sold out weeks in advance . But overall a good option

I think he means that it’s horrible that the Cal 2006 hires are 2k+ senior to him.
