ORD 320 is trending towards DEN seniority. Must be an awesome community since no one leaves. You'll get the 756 before the 320 in ORD.

Currently, your quickest way into ORD is the 737. The most junior 737 ORD pilot is an early 2018 hire. The most junior pilot for ORD Airbus and 756 are late 2017 hires. So, I would think a new-hire could get into ORD within a year. However, your seniority progression will probably be best on the 737... all subject to change, of course.

ORD does a fair amount of Europe and some Hawaii. Don’t know the exact percentages. The most common trips in open time are Europe bunkie.

That’s saying something. FWIW, the most junior pilot on the last ORD 756 award was around 8400. Granted, it was not a large opening but it shows what a junior pilot is facing when trying to move beyond the bottom 20% of a twin aisle list.

ORD has been fairly stagnant all around—-at least compared to a couple other bases.

Good info. So that leaves 41 unfilled. Just enough for the Sept 18 class.

This next vacancy bid will have to create unfilled spots for the October classes.

And the good news for those in both this class and the Sept 18th class is that we should have a vacancy bid that is published soon (Friday?) and would close around the 24th, so those folks in class would get a chance for a lateral very quickly!!

No minimum 73 and bus requirement like the last class? Interesting how they do that, kinda screws the 20 or whatever pilots that got forced in to the Airbus that may have wanted the 73 and are stuck for 2 yrs
