Of course it all depends, as things change, but currently the 737 is the jr aircraft there. So that be quickest. That wasn’t the case a few years ago.
Timeframe, 5-8 months, give or take. Airbus, a couple years. You get a 757 in training now you’re talking 4 years plus. Or switching aircraft after seat lock to get in sooner.

Someone smarter than me can post the details but I wouldn’t plan on holding IAH anytime soon unless there are backfills.

Sounds accurate after reading the latest MEC update. “The company has indicated this Vacancy Bid is the first of what will most likely be monthly vacancy bids, continuing over the next six to eight months in preparation for summer 2019.”
