Default Recent Drops and Class Dates

Anyone have an update on the recent class drops as well as what class applicants receiving the CJO within the next few weeks can expect ?

Any idea how the aircraft type is chosen for new hires? For example from what I read most are gettin 320/737 and only a small amount 767. Any idea how they choose the guy or gal that gets the 767?

Its a little thing the airlines like to call seniority.

There is a FB page with all this info. If you have a CJO or employee number, look for the United New Hire-Half Wing group.

Clearly you miss understood my question. I am talking about a new hire. If a new hire class starts on the same day and there is a group of people they all can not have the same seniority number. How are those guys on the same start date broken down?

Height. Tallest to shortest. Tallest gets first pick, shortest gets what’s left.
It’s really the only fair way.

Actually, pilot golfer's answer still applies. The same-day class of newbies has their seniority number based on seniority... and by that I mean age seniority. Youngest guy/gal in the class is the most junior... So the elders pick what's available... the young get what's left.

Welcome to APC, I saw you just joined and have 2 posts so far. Cheers.

Thanks mate. That seems to be the same way it was done at my current airline. I am gathering information on if I apply or not but first doing my homework and sometimes reading the forums I get lost in the way things are done in USA. Slightly different to the Australian way but it seems the forums still work the same. Ie a lot of smart ass and fewer helpful fellas. Thanks for your help.

Try not to get your knickers in a knot. Your question (among others) gets asked over and over and over and over again and some of the trolls get tired of answering them. Next time you have a question, if I may politely suggest, try doing a search on the topic before posting it.

Cheers
