No. We get what we can negotiate and for heavens sake, stop spinning the lame-ass pie story. That tired old phrase has been managing expectations well before i came on property 33 years ago and is meaningless. Yes management sets out to craft a contract that costs them only so much but it’s our job to exceed it and then some.

Shut your pie-hole

I take it you never went to UND or when you did it must have been a lot different. This was pretty well covered in 2002-06. But even if it wasn’t I can honestly say I don’t know or have come across a single regional pilot who didn’t know the “History.”

Well back to the contract. Is there some reason we are having p2p communication being set up at hotels like hnl and lhr? We don't have a tentative so there is not much they could discuss. Would it not make more sense to set this up at the domiciles?

Where did you read that they were NOT setting them up in the domiciles?
Just curious.
Any comm that the union can set up/put out is a win for us all.

I did not read that anywhere but I have been through the domiciles and have not seen any. As far as setting up in hnl and lhr not sure that is the best way to spend the money. The other part that bothers me is we don't have a tentative so it seems too early as they won't be able to talk any specifics anyhow. JMO

Maybe it’s a trial balloon to judge reaction from a certain cross section of the pilot group. Isolate the widebody guys and put the fear of Joint Ventures in their head and saying something needs to be done to protect your seats at the top of the food chain. Tell them how it’s good trade off to protect the highest paying seats by allowing more feed with an unspecified number of 76 or 90 or 100 seat RJs for our Express co-workers. They need these field trips to tailor the next steps of the sales job for a TA that’s probably already done.

I hope I’m wrong. It’s happened once before. 😀

Stay tuned.
