I heard the same from the same man. Reserve was resolved somewhat quickly a while ago and improved. I don’t know specifics.

We've been used to getting a contract before or WAY before the amendable date and at times when the company wasn't making near the profits we are making now.

You think when you walk into negotiating with a multi-billion dollar ask, it's going to be easy? The more gains you want, the longer it's going to take. The company isn't just going to fork over the cash because they are making more money.

Excluding the current contract extension please let us know which contract negotiations fit this description.

I know I'm getting old and my memory isn't what it was, but I can't remember a single contract that went easily and early.

You must be referring to Delta's process.

Won't be easy at all, I'm just telling you why things are getting a bit crazy at our end.

This just adds to being under staffed and going into a summer schedule with 4% more flying. The pilots literally put the company on it's back and saved the operation last summer.

Managements communications aren't in line with what we're seeing at the negotiating table either, very frustrating.

Ok. Stop feeling like you need to come to the aid of the company. This isn't a charity. It's multi-billion dollar corporations. It doesn't *NEED* our "help". If it does, that'll come out in the wash this summer.

Are you saying your (Delta's) last contract a fluke? Because IIRC, it went on for a couple of years and the first TA was shot down. And didn't the rank and file want to replace some MEC members during contract negotiations? I know I'm getting old and senile, but I didn't think that Delta's last contract was settled anywhere close to the amenable date.

The demographic has changed since the NWA merger plus the huge hiring wave that brought in a lot of younger guys/gals that went through hell during their regional years .. this is for the better. The pilot group was always a YES group (Atlanta) especially when they saw the increase in pay rates. That is something of the past, DTW MSP NYC have taken a lot of the voting power away from the Yes men. We'll see ..

You completely dodged my response. Did you (DALPA) or did you not get a new contract before the amenable date? If not, how long after the amenable date was a final TA ratified (not voted down)?
