Not really. We still are not going to give scope relief, those 50 seat rj’s are getting old, and the consumer doesn’t like them. The biggest advantage that we will always have is that we negotiate directly with the source, regional pilots negotiate with a subcontractor.

Bring all RJs on property at commensurate mainline pay, staple pilots to bottom of our list. Simultaneously resolves issues of FFD, scope, furloughs, and putting furloughed UA pilots into the RJs, and damns the regional model to hell, as it should be.
I’d be happy to fly a 175 here, on our seniority list.

Guys always say this, we have the 190 at AA and we’ve forced guys into upgrades on it twice this year, nobody wants to be on it because it pays less than 320/737.

Is it better for our profession to keep the regional model, then? Yet another tool that allows greedy, corrupt, stock-buyback addicted c-suites to play off against us?
You guys at AA should be especially angry. You do know Doug Parker personally pocketed $150M in the last 5 years off your backs, yes?

The 320/737 pay less than the 777. So, your point is what, exactly?

A 5th year 320 FO makes more than a 2yr 190 CA. 169vs167. Only group where a Jr CA makes less than the most SR FO.

I don’t like the regional model either, but how would dissolving it alleviate the current crisis? And I’m just pointing out that if little planes were at your airline, they would be avoided like they are here, although I think the 190 will also die a quick death here shortly.

Sounds like you guys like to keep defending outsourced flying. How’s that worked out for you so far?
