Exactly. Answer - only if working at Home Depot is the alternative.

There you go then.....

I heard they are using the parked 756 as collateral against some of the new debt. So park them indefinitely, yes. Sell them, no.

I heard the coronavirus can last for up to 24 months inside a parked 757.

The story was in a non-peer reviewed journal published by the Republic of Congo department of scientific amalgamation in affiliation with several Chinese scientists on loan from Wuhan jail.

Their data showed that, if a certain 17 conditions were met for a certain unspecified time period, then this could happen

better trust these scientists, stay home, and shut everything down

let me know how your pay compares after all the PPU trips you are going to be getting of the next year. Compare yourself to a 764/763 line not a 752 line. If you compare yourself to a SFO/LAX/DEN line then I agree with you as do all United pilots and that is why the 756 in those bases are so junior.
What they want to do is irrelevant. Depending on how much the international flying is cut, and how deep the furloughs go, a big chunk of the 756 guys won’t have anywhere to go but down. If the 777 and 787 are displacing too, that leaves the 320 and 737.

you are splitting hairs. The point is if they go up someone else comes down. That’s 2 training events. If you track my posts back to the original that was my original post.

How many Polaris 767s were flying EWR-LHR each and every day? 6-7? What's going to replace that? 787s? If so then what will fly to the other euro cities?

this is a valid point. There will come a time when the Heathrow slots will again become use em or lose em. Of course United could choose to sell them but that would be very short sighted. Those slots are the most valuable in all of aviation.

I get that, but my guess is that this is a big enough deal that they’re going to be willing to make big cuts and deal with the flood of training events while the recovery is taking place. We don’t need very many pilots for a while. If they are going to retire a fleet, now is a good time to load up the training center.

We could also move the people on fewer flights using bigger planes. Send a 777 over instead of 2 flights on a 756. Hopefully demand returns to a sustainable level before we get there.
