It’s the same 8 or 9 people who think VERY highly of each other and themselves.....and speak of blocking those who disagree, after they personally insult them.
How is that ANY different, except you happen to agree with their side?

Well, I do agree with some of what's been posted so far and I haven't seen anyone blocked yet. And I have read plenty of opposing views. So I am more than willing to give it a chance. Fox News? Just the opposite in my opinion. They don't blindly toss their support of those currently in charge. It's only a week old and there are already decent discussions taking place. I get it that many won't like it. I encourage those in the middle to see if maybe they might like to hear an opposing view.
When a forum is driven by the association, then it's not a forum. It's a loudspeaker. When people are kicked off It's nothing more than a group hug and and propaganda. The old forum might as well be called the Scott and Andy show. At least on the new one the only discussions about people being blocked are by individuals choosing to block one other poster who is doing his best to derail virtually every thread. It's not the moderators.
And as long as this forum is anonymous and allows anyone to post, it will never have the credibility of the others. So, many voices aren't heard here. Personally, I think it stinks to high heaven when someone comes on here and starts laying down thousand word pieces which cleary are union and/or management directed and they dont sign their name to it. Does anyone remember all DBs who showed up during the JS debacle a year or so ago? And now this? It's BS.

It was an imperfect metaphor. I just meant that it’s the yin to the old forums yang. Just as extreme, but the opposite side. I don’t GO to the old forum. I go here and the new forum. That’s more than enough forum for any sane person to sort through.

I respect that. This last month has been such an overload that I am seriously considering tossing my laptop in the lake. I'm weaning myself from the Andy show. Plus I'm a short timer and my lust for this job ebbed long long ago. And I'm still so pi$$Ed about the whole Creighton / Tilton / Whiteford debacle that I'm just destroying what little is left of my brain and liver.
Its funny, the longer I work here the less info I get from the forums and the more vitriol and spit. If only I were smart enough to leave.

For all the potential No voters out there, please tell me how voting No will "actually" help the pilot group? I'm a two time furloughee that's currently 4399 #'s from the BOTTOM. I'm recently displaced from 737 capt to 737 fo. I'm L-Ual 2000 hire that due to my two furloughs was placed behind all L-Cal pilots hired through 2008 because I was on furlough when the merger was announced. So, if TA fails & we furlough the 3900 that have been WARNED, I'll be 499 numbers from furlough number 3. So, please explain to me how I'm better off at fo pay, virtually at the bottom of the "new" list, if another round of mergers happen etc? How are the bottom 3900+ better off? how is the top half of the "new" list better off? I would really like feedback from the potential No voters out there.

Vote yes and pray for a trigger to end this? That seems to be the prevailing wisdom. But which trigger?
Many have said we’ll be way worse if the present situation continues and they’ll furlough way more than 2007 this TA it’ll be over in June 2021.
Or is it that we’re gonna be perfectly positioned to “pounce” when demand returns....except many have said we’re years away from a vaccine and thus demand won’t recover until late 2022. And if we’re going to “pounce” I’d rather be working under the current UPA without this TA.
When part of our decision involves hoping for a certain trigger to kick in to save us all, I’ll ask what’s wrong with the do nothing alternative? Many businesses face tough decisions and a part of any business decision should be the do nothing alternative. I’m ok with the current UPA and I’ve accepted that I’m now labeled heartless and selfish. It’s a cross I guess I’ll have to bear going forward.

Not years, but months for a vaccine. The president says we will have a vaccine by Oct/Nov...doubtful. More likely we will have a vaccine by spring. Research Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, and Pfizer for more information.

This TA is all about the hope for a summer 2021 recovery (70%+ 2019 numbers)... if that doesn’t occur then expect the same or more furloughs (3,900+) during the summer and we go back to operating under today’s UPA. No analysts can forecast what will happen next summer (or spring)... so ignore the experts saying 2023/4... they are pulling that out of their butts.
