Can someone explain how The Man Sheiky ultra came up with the MPG reduction down to 40 and resulting the 45% pay cut? Section 2 A shows the lowest for middle group as 40% or less is 52 hour MPG. If he's trying to make a point about the bottom third I don't get it.
• Pay. Do the math!
MPG reduction from 73 to 60 = 18% Pay cut
MPG reduction from 73 to 50 = 32% Pay cut
MPG reduction from 73 to 40 = 45% Pay cut
MPG reduction from 73 to 35 = 52% Pay cut

It does make it easy to identify what your spin is, though.

Almost inconsequential difference, but you’re not the first person peddling this as fact: you’re using reserve MPG to line MPG. I know it’s just a few hours different, but it’s a bit disingenuous. 73 to 36.5 is 50% and would be apples to apples. Going from line MPG to reserve MPG would even be a better comparison since we’re likely to have more people on reserve. Like me I guess, my MPG will go from 70 as a line holder to 36.5 on reserve. Less than 50%. That would also be disingenuous, though, so let’s just stick with like to like comparisons.

Humans being humans I guess...find something that fits the narrative in your head and try to rabble louder than the other guy.

Your post makes me want to vomit. Way to sell an extremely concessionary deal hard. The company is leveraging furloughs against your group. It's that simple. You either fall for the bait and become the lowest paid major pilots out there or you don't. You have no idea how long this agreement will be in place.
you are full of S
Aren’t you AMR pilot ? Go there please

Instead of arguing about preferences and defending union reps as if they were your spouses, the pilot group should be focusing in solving their real problem as inteligent pilots and not as if they were politicians. Send the reps back to get the TA right Anytime a group of people is divided, they are easier to defeat or to conquer. Just for that reason that reason that TA is not good. However, that should not mean that we can't have another (a better one) specially if done honestly and fairly as a group and not on the backs of the junior pilots while pretending that we want to save their jobs. We can not be that disingenuous. Stop wasting time arguing about whether or not we should eat the plate of s.... that is at the table, why would you even consider eating what you don't want? If you must eat something, lets first make sure is something we can all eat. Let's have the courage to act correctly and if possible, let's figure out the correct way to use our strength to equally look after and protect the ones that can not do it for themselves. Not even with a vote because they just got here. .................................

But just like real politics this has turned to sh*t sandwhich and instead of guys having sensible discussions about it, an infowars like campaign has been started and is filled with so much fake news it isn't funny.
It's hard to eat at the table when the anonymous person across the table is spewing out raw sewage.
