Just tell the recruiter you’re gay.

They all have completed the training and have an ATP plus years of existence by the time they reach the airline level.

China sends their youth to America to fly then gives them jobs. Mexico the same for the most part. Planes are not falling out of the sky.
Add Europe and the Middle East to that list.

I'm a Southwest guy, but I hope to God we don't start with this BS. By default, every time I set foot onboard our jet, I couldn't give two sh*ts about the sex or race of the pilots up front. My default assumption is that they're rockstars who had what it takes to get hired.

At Southwest, up until a couple of years ago, every applicant had to have at least 1,000 hours of turbine PIC. That means everyone had to either get promoted to aircraft commander in the military, be a captain of a jet or a turboprop in the civilian world, get selected to interview, pass the interview, get through training and make it online. I've flown with minorities, women, older guys, younger gals, you name it... But one thing NOBODY could do would be question if they've actually earned their place. They all have, hands down, without a shadow of a doubt... their sex, race, ethnicity mattered/matters about as much as the color of their eyes.

But in light of "we're instituting quotas to show how woke we are...", United literally took a giant dump on every single one of their pilots, men and women alike, any race or ethnicity, because now you've put a question mark on every single minority or a female applicant on whether or not they've truly earned their spot, or if they were hired to show some woke idiots' virtue signaling skills. Disgusting!
I hope this woke nonsense stops at United and doesn’t spread through out the industry! these groups have their own recruiting organizations to orchestrate their careers. Does United need to circumnavigate this?
This is a quota and this is racism and sexism combined. I’m no longer proud to come to work for a company that clearly values virtue signaling over safety. I’m so sick of libs validating this behavior, but I expect nothing less from them. Every sane person should say enough is enough and just hire the rite PERSON for the dam job!

Were there any scholarship opportunities available only to men and/or whites?

Does this also apply to United’s management and BOD?

I looked for the best people and best qualified. It just happens to be a mix of black and white and 1 latino. I never looked at the skin color, I hired the inner-person and their experience.
They’re going to find out this isn’t the best job for filling quotas. You’re going to have a bunch of “minorities” fly just because they were selected based on the color of their skin or sex and they’re going to realize just because you’re selected doesn’t mean you can do it. There’s probably a reason why there’s not many females in the flight deck, probably because they’re not interested. Nothing’s stopping them, there’s been female airline pilots for a long long time.

Hmm. So only 30% of the population is male? You need to check your math. Try that some minorities are also women and some minorities are also male.
And no, there aren't enough women and minorities with the qualifications.that will even come close to the 50% that United is talking about.

I have a problem with putting women and minorities in the position where their hard work, dedication and grit to succeed gets questioned on account of their skin color or sex.

I also have a problem with using skin color and sex as being any kind of a factor in hiring, especially for a safety-sensitive position. If you can’t see just how detrimental that is, or if you’re unable to differentiate between helping and coaching minorities and women to become competitive and establishing quotas.... I can’t help you.

Just wait for the large group of new hire women and minorities who sue United and Alpa for discrimination because of the seniority based system. Why shouldn't a new hire move right to the left seat of a wide body? I've seen such a law suit at another airline.

Yes, only about 30% of the population in the United States is white male.
