For reference, 2015 hire and about 8700. So about 1000 pilots in 8 years.

Wow, we are about 100 numbers and 8 years apart. Isn’t 100 numbers one to two weeks now? My timing sucked!

2 things to bear in mind when contemplating WB. One the FAA just approved the engine mods so all 777s will be back flying Spring '22, and two, starting in May, the network plan calls for 777 flying to Asia to return almost to 2019 levels with some additional locations so the days of being "fat" and sitting at home are most likely limited. I would anticipate being flown to the max at least during May, June, July and August UNLESS China does not open up and the company's plans to fly to China are put on hold again.

Does DCA 777/787 do any Asia flying? Or is that mostly EWR?

Correction, a 2015 is about 9700. I'm 2014 and I'm 92xx.

A lot of questions here on APC about DCA 777. No ones knows yet. The base closed and will remain closed until flying increases in the spring. I'm personally hoping for a return to the Middle East. As far as Asia, maybe NRT. The 787, no, just Europe and Africa.

Based on July 2021 seniority numbers this is way off. I’m a mid 2013 hire and at 8800.

To further complicate matters, your real time seniority number as shown on a CCS seniority report & your system seniority number- which shows up on a vacancy bid- are not the same. The disparity between the two increases as you move further down the seniority list and (because of when the numbers update) as the year progresses toward summer. Sometimes the confusion is that we don’t always know which number is being referenced when we have these conversations.

As an illustration, you appear to be using the former. Your 87xx seniority would probably show up on a vacancy bid more like 96xx. 87xx on a vacancy bid would be many years off your 2015 hire date & well into the pre-merger era.

Yes, I’m using real time seniority. 96xx is July numbers.

I'm mid 2015 and 9800. Did we really hire 1100 in the first half of 2015?
