Are you kidding? This is my new phone, baby. Had it less than a year and will probably use it for 4 more. Got 5 years out of my S7 so that's my benchmark. Stop trying to phone-shame me or I'll tell my mom.

Hi guys,
I will be a new joiner next month over at United & I am very excited to be there. With the current movement & unfilled vacancies in many bases, is there a possibility to get IAH during BI training? Thank you & merry Christmas to all of you.

Yes. Unfilled bids in IAH last bid. No idea if they’ll offer it in Indoc, but they’ll probably offer it in the vacancy shortly thereafter.

2 things to bear in mind when contemplating WB. One the FAA just approved the engine mods so all 777s will be back flying Spring '22, and two, starting in May, the network plan calls for 777 flying to Asia to return almost to 2019 levels with some additional locations so the days of being "fat" and sitting at home are most likely limited. I would anticipate being flown to the max at least during May, June, July and August UNLESS China does not open up and the company's plans to fly to China are put on hold again.

Congrats on the new job! We did have left over vacancies (open slots) for IAH, but the odds of that going to a new hire in class I would say are a bit slim, sure you can base trade or get it awarded in a future vacancy but don’t think they’ll be offering it to new hires right by the time you show up to class . The flying for much of that vacancy is for best summer , so if you show up in a month , I can’t imagine they have slots for IAH yet (for new hires).
Either way you would get it shorty after training most likely .
