Scabs and selfish opportunists trying to act as if they are falling on the sword for the industry when the majority is telling them to shut up and ride off into the sunset.

That, and also a harder look at single-pilot passenger operations, 135 as well as 91.

Maybe, but posting criticism of the NAS on social media doesn’t move the legislative needle. Lobbyists know this and behave accordingly.

I’ll give you the SWA meltdown over Christmas, but for most policy issues the public is clueless.

Age 67 is going to happen, might as well get into the BES you want now.

Hiring might slow slightly, but still at 2000 a year.

The progression in WB seniority and NB CA will slow significantly for 2 years.

No need to stress about it. Nothing you can do to stop it.

LOL. this is like Stuart Smalley's daily affirmations. Just cause you say it's so, doesn't make it so.
I hate to break this to you, but it just. Isn't. Happening.
Hope you didn't spend too much money on the "pilots for age 67" wild goose chase.

Not taking a side. Neither side can clearly say what the majority of the association thinks on this issue.

Pilots aged above 65 will not be able to fly to anywhere except 'Merica. They will have to put up a fence in every fleet (since they will eventually all be going across the Atlantic) for DOM/INTL flying. It could actually be very nice as the senior pilots will be forced to do the domestic transcons and hub turns, and the more junior pilots can get the sweet sweet international flying.

Or any pilot aged 65-67 will be the ones flying the ridiculous electric airplanes and helicopters.

Anyone else hearing Age 67 has been removed from the FAA reauthorization bill?

Not making an argument either way but:

How was it in 2005 (when the us was still 60) that the foreign carriers could operate into the US at 60-65?

That was the MAJOR argument for going from 60 to 65 in the US was that all the foreign carriers can do it, just not the US based ones.

Are you saying that foreign rules override US rules, and all US rules are just a lower subset of aviation? Just curious how that works.....
