You can retire whenever you like.
I assume all those opposed to raising the FAA age to 67 will sign agreements that they will retire at 65, because they believe so strongly against it. Or, be the hypocrites you are and work until 67.
I for one welcome your retirement: See, you ALREADY signed an agreement to retire at 65. Sorry I won’t be around to sign your photo. I wish you all the best in your post-121 life. Such as it may be. You’re already yelling at the dang kids and shaking your fist at the clouds.

I will retire when I want, thank you. I will not suffer fools who seek to make the years I am here less lucrative to line their own pockets while claiming no harm. I’d avoid this thread if you’ve had your Werthor-eating fill already.

The recent Cessna accident may lead to some rethinking of age 67.

Like who? Pilots, Regulators, Congress?

Let’s be better than Fox News “some people are saying” which does nothing for an honest discussion.

Was age a factor in this accident? source?

For the sake of discussion, I don’t support age 67, but I also don’t feel the need to make the mere mention something that has to be demonized.

It will clearly be brought into play if the age change comes to a vote. You seem to think facts need to be involved. They don’t! I doubt the NTSB will solve this one. Clearly the pilot was incapacitated about 15 minutes after departure. Probably a pressurization problem but perhaps a medical issue. If it was a systems issue did he miss something on preflight or after start or was it an aircraft systems failure? Again it really doesn’t matter as facts won’t matter if 67 comes to a vote. It will be hanging out there and if it sways a vote or two it’s huge.
