How many seconds will it take for other countries to jump on the 67 bandwagon? There's a shortage of pilots worldwide.

By the way, this is from a 2006 ICAO report (before it went to 65):
Nine States (Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Russian Federation, Senegal, and Ukraine) have no upper age limit, whereas fifty-five have an upper age limit higher than 60 years, ranging from 62 to 72 years.

For those that oppose an age change, my best recommendation is to write as many Senators and Congressmen as you can with a well crafted argument against changing the age. Your email will be read by a staffer - likely a young staffer. If your email has enough merit to it, it will be pushed up through the staff to the representative. A sincere good luck to you; it's going to be an uphill battle.
Here are a couple of large hurdles favoring a change:
-Changing retirement age to 67 helps keep social security solvent for a little bit longer
-Any summer meltdown 'due to pilot shortages' will make this more likely to remain attached to the FAA reauthorization bill.

Why in the world would ICAO give two flips about what happens here? Remember the guppy max debacle? The rest of the world has zero respect for what we say or do. They were the first to ground it (rightly so) and the last to recertify it. If you think we have any sway on what they’ll do you’re high.

No thanks. I’ll happily fly with 67 and older people if it means I’m not raped in taxes, freedoms, among other bad things that come to the table with democrat (liberal) government.

Nope, it’s 100% about seniority abrogation to me. There are pilots older and junior to me and there is no way to accommodate a domestic only solution for them without screwing up my seniority.
