Yep, it’s all about you. Got it.

It’s all about every pilot at every airline that uses seniority based scheduling and bidding.

Funny the 65 and up crowd are willing to throw the entire seniority system out the window when it benefits them.

I’m nowhere close to 64, or 50 for that matter…assume much? I’m just not a self-centered db and consider everything the older pilots have been through before deciding an issue with only my self interest in mind,

If respecting the seniority system our entire career is based on makes me a “self centered DB” then I guess I’m a self centered DB.

Of all the million little sad stories that could be made easier by just tossing out the seniority system (IE missed kids birthdays, working on Christmas, etc) why does only one warrant an exception for you? This is the way the game has always been played, it is incredibly self centered to reap the benefits of seniority for a whole career and then in the last two years of it decide it no longer applies.

Senior pilots will just go on LTD from age 64 to 67 if the bill passes. Right now they are doing it from 62-65. It’s a waste of time and will be expensive for the airlines

If your “stats” are accurate then indeed the airlines will get two more years of service from 62-64

Some will, but most will just plug along. I’m always amazed at those that retire with 1,000 hours in their sick banks. Spending your last year on the road when you could stay home for the same money will never make sense to me.

For some pilots it’s a simply matter of integrity. I mean I have never understood why some pilots pay for things in stores when they could just steal it.

After multiple decades in this business, it's a reasonable conclusion that any/every pilot could go out on disability for the last year or two of his/her career for any number of legitimate afflictions associated with this job. Bad sleep, bad seats, noisy workplace, radiation exposure, circadian disruption, crappy food, the list goes on. These all have a cumulative and detrimental effect on one's health. Or maybe you're like the guy who never called in sick over a 40 year career. Delta calls him a role model. I call him a liar.
Truly amazing that you stick around after your retirement to pollute this forum with your snarky arrogance.
