Like I said, it’s your tone. Your could contribute something, or continue to stir the pot, as you do. Labeling me is fine, but your contribution is basically nothing to this point. All the best! I hope the AA captains expose you for the rook that you are. Fly safe!

Oh no need, you exposed me already!, you know me so well. Hostile and arrogant as well, flying with you must be great too. Get a life and stop exposing morons like me, we don’t deserve your attention. Your tone says a couple of things but don’t want to get banned. A parla panoli.
And yes, flying with me sucks!

There was never a randomness this past year to United's hiring department bizarrely skipping past plenty of qualified candidates over these no degree, low time, zero to hero ULCC/ACMI scrubs. They don’t want new hire pilots on property who know their worth.
The next step will be matching low costs carrier crew uniforms. Then the real United next, uneducated pilots flying low cost carrier pay rates charging legacy ticket prices. That’s Scotty boys actual definition of “competitive”.

You do know Delta, AA, and United is all hiring similar quality candidates right? Just because someone doesn’t have a degree doesn’t necessarily makes them terrible candidate.. Just because someone who doesn’t have regional 121 PIC time doesn’t make them a terrible candidate… Just like someone who comes from ULCC/ACMI doesn’t make them a terrible candidate. Let alone it’s a terrible assumption to assume folks coming from ULCC/ACMI carriers DNGAF about work rules…

Oh and before you ask (while I’ve been here a few years) I was an acmi scrub with 8000TT/4500PIC who also happened to have military time and chose acmi over going to regional (my preference, nothing again regionals).
PS: a degree is a horrible measure of how good a pilot is; that requirement eliminated a huge group of pilots from all our military from being hired.

wow , you’re a real piece of ****.. most of those so called “acmi scrubs” have world-wide long haul experience on boeing aircraft and bring a wealth of experience to the table for our pilot group., many of them were also former military pilots who went acmi when no one was hiring except cargo during the pandemic.

I'm the first to admit I made disparaging remarks in the past as well, but "heavy sigh" seeing all the inter-pilot vitriol here. Just stop. Like the old adage says: "If you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all."
Back to the regularly scheduled broadcast . . .
I want to believe and do believe that this will put enough pressure on UAL management to finally get a deal done. Of course, the devil is always in the details and I have yet to read what QWL gains AA got if any.

What “real pressure” is there and when do you think we’ll get a contract?
thanks Sunvox.

Good point, but I still can’t figure out the “pressure” that Kirby is under. Honest question. We’re still getting g new hires by the droves, people are still taking the upgrade, NPS scores are high, and United is saving billions with the current contract.

really pulling for united pilots but even while classes might be “full” and people coming in droves I’m positive I’m not the only one passing on united. It’s not for the current contract but the way negotiations have played out. It speaks volume on management and what they think of their pilot group and what they want for the airline. I’ll stay at my current carrier over United and the direction management is steering the company. They’re going to miss out on a lot of quality candidates that would have otherwise preferred united. Hard to watch from the outside.

There is pressure, but it isn’t absolute. Kirby knows that AA and DL can only hire so many people, and as long as we’re still better than the LCC’s, classes will have bodies in the seats. The biggest pressure is having a pilot group who is angry about being the worst among the legacies. Oscar did a decent job of trying to heal the scars from the past, especially with the LUAL side considering what they had been through. If Kirby continues to delay a deal, those scars will be opened further than they already have been. He knows that the busy summer schedule could be a train wreck with a ****ed off pilot group.
