Not sure on policy, I don’t think anyone on here truly knows. I’d try a pilot meet and greet or a job fair. I’m sure as a company we’d love your experience.

True, I wonder if policy has changed in light of the hogan not being such a significant factor anymore. I have a lot of friends that didn’t make that hurdle years ago that are now at Delta and FedEx

I also highly recommend trying American. I also have a CJO from them and actually find their interview easier and friendlier than UA.

Depends on the interviewer you get, as with any airline. My experience was very friendly and I think most would say the same.

Very good experience for me. Felt like they wanted me there and I wasn’t an inconvenience. For my buddy, it was the opposite. Said it felt like the ice was never broken. YMMV depending on who you get

Your best bet is probably to ask the United hiring team face to face at a job fair. Probably best not to get your hopes up and to continue to apply to other airlines as well.

Yes being somewhat hostile has historically always been part of the interview strategy……I think the play is to try and extract how you will perform/act/ or treat others when you are under a fair amount of stress be it from other crew members, crappy dispatch, poor operational performance from other departments, ATC, or flight attendants you aren’t getting along with.
Which at United you will likely never experience the level of chaos you likely see on a daily basis at Spirit.
It still bugs me they are turning away Spirit people…….I think you guys are a carrier in distress, not to mention on the high end of qualified compared to rest of the pool.
