Some of you guys need to read a little more in the actual ALPA merger procedures and policy.
Since there are relatively senior, voluntary LUAL furloughees, "stapleing" all 1435/37 to the bottom of a combined seniority list is unfeasible since the relative seniority of each carrier's respective list must be maintained. "Stapleing" a relatively senior, voluntary furloughee to the bottom of a combined list likely would violate that requirement.
However, there is no requirement that they all be considered the same. That will be argued. They just can't be reordered.

On the CAL SL, they are very few Pilots who have a 2004 date. Almost the entire swell referred to above would have been the wave beginning Spring 2005, or later.

That makes perfect sense.......BUT how do you explain those who were "Voluntary Furloughs" at the time they departed property, then after they left on voluntary status, may have become "True Furloughs" (IE- The Furlough G-Line moved "North" after such time as when they left "Voluntarily", and if they would have stuck around, the would have been involuntary)???

Since I am a junior UAL involuntary furlough, but have taken the opportunity to go to CAL, I am "active" on CAL's list right? And if I am "active", once the ISL is put together, all the senior folks still on furlough ('cause they weren't recalled- i.e. NOT active) are going to be junior to me because I am active???
SWEET!!!
Or does some sort of "snapshot" come into play, and when/ which snapshot?.....

From what I was briefed, those who took the CAL job are still on the UAL list and by by-laws you cannot jump ahead of those that are senior to you on your own list. That would indicate that when the list is done, you will be in the same grouping as before the list was put together.

The key word you use is "recalled." You are not recalled and no one at sUAL has been recalled as you and they can only be recalled to sUAL.
What you suggest is why sUAL pilots at sCAL insist on being called "new hires" not "recalls."
At one time I was a bit foggy on this issue but because of your post I can now see why the distinction is so important.
