Hey, both of those great Americans said a lot of stuff in the DOJ hearings including a promise to quickly resolve labor integration...I have confidence in the arbitrators being smart enough to see how little value any banana shaped arrow comment from our CEOs should have on SLI. I also don't believe that the arbitrators are going to completely ignore both parties recent history and the one-sided rapid reduction in 100+ UAL airframes just prior to the merger, especially since Tiltons DOJ comments don't mesh with what he said from the other side of his mouth to investors/BOD about his company that was leading in on-time performance for 2 years, large WB order and a sizable revenue agreement with Chase. BTW, what is wrong with trading parts from an obsolete fleet for cash? Sorry UAL's $3B wasn't enough for CAL to merge, but to imply that Tilton's comment to the DOJ was correct and the awesome synergies we have achieved already since inception of this merger was the reason we now collectively have almost $9B are unreasonable. But you probably believe sCAL is the sole reason in the $6B increase in cash in just over 2 years.
This merger has had enough one-sided cuts...the chips will fall soon enough, I personally hope the country club dice aren't rigged this time. But there is a lot of benefit for management to keep the pilots bickering. 100% Staple job of 2000+ former/current furloughees will cause long term pain for the entire pilot group...is your personal seniority grap worth that kind of workplace?

IAH-787 was announced years ago and the TPA allowed the 787 to be flown out of EWR as well in the future should that be needed.

The fast upgrades were primarily due to the lousy work rules. The seniority list was very lopsided with 20+ year First Officers on the widebodies and 2 year captains on the guppies.

I have a question. I have heard a lot about all of those 737's being parked and the claim that it was "for the merger" even though it occurred prior to the merger announcement with CAL. The "large widebody order" was also just prior to the merger announcement but nobody likes to talk about that. This "order" was obviously a bone thrown to UAL-ALPA by Tilton as it will be used as an argument by the UALALPA Merger Committee in their argument during SLI talks. Which argument do you guys want "on the record" as you can't have both. You either claim the airline was "rightsizing" for the merger or you claim that United had its own growth plans and these A-350's and 787's were key tools in the modernization of the UAL fleet(these were all replacement aircraft anyway).

You could say that we were working on making the merger work the whole time, but I'm not sure if that will hold up.
Future aircraft orders are useless. They NEVER have an effect on SLI discussions.

CAL guys all want to talk about how junior their seats go, but they won't admit that guys are getting stuff out of seniority due to the abysmal QOL sitting junior provides.
One thing is for sure.....back room deals will be made to protect the senior guys and the rest of us will get screwed!

Does Delta have senior FO's sitting on the 777? Even with a new contract, and new work rules, I look forward to sitting right seat in a 777 versus being a junior captain.
