Better example. At l-ual the bus currently pays less than the 757. It is rumored that the aip has those two aircraft lumped at the same rate. Therefore the bus pilot stands to make significantly more than the 757 pilot from the signing bonus. Is that fair?

At the end of the day, this is a signing bonus. Every pilot on property has an equal share is this contract. I'd argue that even the fourloghs deserve an equal share as they've been damaged the most.

As I said above, take the entire amount and divide it equally among all the pilots. This is the ONLY way to avoid MEC politics as well as a completely lopsided distribution.

I agree. Minus the difference between UAL and CAL pilot pay over the past 2.5 years. Plus UAL pilots were shorted on last year's profit sharing. Minus that too.

While we're at it...get rid of the ridiculous pay banding. There is no way that a 787 w/ 215 seats should pay the same as a 747-400.

We'll overlook all of the bids and advancement on the CAL side and get the deal done!

Socal,

Pay raise x hours worked since amendable date. Evidently the money/stock on the table is not full retro. Therefore, apply that percentage to the full amount. If I was owed $160k and the company is offering 80%, then I get $128. It's really that simple. Coppice?

Trust me, my feathers aren't ruffled. I can't change the course of events. I only have one vote.

I must say that I would be STUNNED if anyone voted for the leaked pay rates and nothing but FULL RETRO! From the pilots that I discuss this with are totally insulted by the rates and the rumor of 400 mil. instead of retro. Now, UNLESS ALL OF YOU ARE LYING TO ME, I see this TA being voted down hard.
You guys aren't lying to people when you talk to them are you? Are you all secret yes voters?

I know I'm not.

Well if we go by the saying "we'll know they got it right if no one is happy" then you may just be right! I don't see how they do retro, even a full 100% retro, without a lot of people crying foul.

Voting NO based on scope alone.

I don't know why anyone would vote to outsource their job after what has happened in the industry since Delta let the first RJ on their property.

And how do I know what is in the scope section?

I don't.

But I do know this. CAL ALPA caved on it...because they always do.
