I might listen to ten....fifteen tops. The 90s were a handful of bands away from a musical wasteland.
Mo' seats? Sure, keep em and fill the whales and 777s. That where the REAL money is made. A stretched guppy is just a longer trout in the porcelain bowl. We still gotta serve good pizza though. And I still don't care how many seats are behind me. DAL just put in a pretty good quarter. How many uber guppies do they fly?
I don't live in a Tequila bottle. I live in a condo. I do love tequila...but I love bourbon more. Well, unless its summer. Then I enjoy a Gin n Tonic. You know, potent botanicals, quinine and lime. This tasty elixir not only helps keep scurvy at bay, but it also facilitates a pleasant demeanor and comportment. Equally important, the ladies diggit. That's always good. Cold Beer is good too. Real good.

And those 2006 Captains had better hang on VERY VERY TIGHTLY to their left seat bids because, as someone that has been at this 16 years, I know there WILL be a furlough in the future.

I, too, have been in this for a while.... In my 17th year at mainline and have never been furloughed. I just got lucky. However, for the first time in my career, senior pilots are finally retiring in meaningful numbers. IMHO we're looking at upward movement that will define the rest of our careers.. For all of us.

For some, there are concerns that upward movement will only last so long and then will stagnate for the balance of their career.

Pre contract CAL 737 was $150 for 12 year captain.
Pre contract UAL 747 was $191 for 12 year captain.
This doesn't include the 16% B-plan for UAL pre contract.
Plus there are drastic QOL differences between being a 747 pilot and a 737 one. No way a 747 pilot can work 18 days a month.
747 jobs are better than 737 jobs. Period.
But don't worry, I have faith a reasonable person will put a reasonable list together that is fair. We are all going to be fine after SLI. Everyone's number is going to change, but that's misleading because both sides bring value and the combined airline has more value than either airline did separately.

I also know plenty of 737 guys that had 18 days off a month.

Day time flying.
Drinkable water at overnight. (Been to India?)
Weekends/holidays off.
Short overnights (= more time at home).
Similair pay.
Choice of trip types: 1 day - 4 day.
Plenty of days off.
I've done WB flying, I'll stick to the NB flying.
Better QOL all around.

Plus 767 at United paid more because of the 16% b fund, which CAL now has thanks to us.
Refuted.
