Old UAL B756 12 yr CA rate $158.94:

Lineholder MPG 65 hours x 158.94 = $10,331.10 + (16% B/C) $1652.98

= $11984.08

Old CAL B737 12 yr CA rate $169.33:

Lineholder MPG 72 hours x 169.33 = $12,191.76 + (12.75% B) $1554.45

= $13,746.21

Which is a more valid comparison, a paycheck or the monetary value of a contract? After you have answered that question, then ask yourself if it has any bearing on the sli.

I agree with your sentiment, but the arbitrators will have to start somewhere to objectively measure and quantifiably define the subjective "Career Expectations" component of sli.

An arbitration last summer ruled that W2 Wage Data (includes not just pay but imputed employee contributions for healthcare) is a valid statistical and comparative baseline tool that reflects the monetary value of disparate pre-merged contracts.

I wonder if that's the reason why L-UA's MEC fought tooth/nail when L-CO MEC asked UCH Mgt for the W-2 info/data for the L-UA Pilot Group.

Just a wild guess, but I'm sure the data that was eventually granted following the request filtered it's way down to a certain committee.

This thread is hilarious. Take the dates off and I wouldn't know if it was my life from 1987, 1998, 2001, 2005 or the soon to come US/AA arguments. Well, except for the no internet in 1987. Anyway, just goes to show you, pilots are pilots. Same varieties everywhere.

Now UA pilots. How do you feel about DOH now? ;-)

Since you asked, we remain thrilled that we didn't get stuck with the "ugly girl" in 2000 or 2010. ;-)

Typical Marv, can't follow a simple question!

Horton decided that after a few beers and 19 million out the door that old hose bag looked pretty good.

Seriously though, good luck to both sides.
