Thank you for the replies regarding SFO, LAX and future possibilities for a potential commuter. I would hope that it is possible to bid for a commuters QOL, like avoiding work periods, and avoiding 1,2 and 3 days off. I'm sorry the situation has gotten worse, but assure you that is a common discussion around most any table aside from Purple, maybe. We surely all want very similar protections to our careers and you all are very much due. Can't say the the same for those running the show so it really is important to have unity.

If you don't remember you can do a little research. Data is still out there.

If referring to the senior guys selling you out - THE SENIOR GUYS DIDN'T HAVE THE NUMBERS TO VOTE THAT CONTRACT IN. Are you ashamed to admit to voting for that contract - understandable with hindsight.
Raw nerve Pablo? When do you retire. Hindsight is a funny thing; it cuts both ways and blurs facts, opinions and wishes. For example, we voted on a contract in 2000 and then 2 rounds of concessions; one in 2003 and one in 2005. One of these must be the "contract" to which you are referring. Full disclosure: I voted for the first concession because I was told, by ALPA, it was necessary. I couldn't vote for the second because I wasn't employed at United.

I voted for just about every contract presented to the membership except Mike Glaws first presentation. You want to blame the wrong people for putting you guys on the street. Not ONE active UAL pilot wanted to see any one our pilots furloughed. You say the senior guys voted to save their pensions at the expense of the junior guys. Go back and look at the numbers after about 1996 the so called "senior guys" didn't have the votes to drive the direction of any voting matter including contracts. The company was going to sell or park airplanes no matter what the pilots did. You want to blame somebody, blame the company for the furloughes and give some credit/blame to the junior leaders of the current MEC for not protecting the rights of all UAL pilots in the TPA and not getting you back on the UAL side sooner.

Funny. I had the distinct displeasure of meeting a former UAL MEC vice-chairman. What a tool.

OK Joe, I'll play....You're an idiot.

Can't believe that challenge was issued 20 hours ago and no one took you up on it. Slackers! Cmon peeps, ridicule is a large part of why I come here.

Since this forum turned into ISL/CAL/UAL bashing a lot of guys have lost interest or have decreased their participation. When I read inaccurate posts that make me angry I just reach for an adult beverage instead of replying. Its not worth my time to refute idiotic talking points over and over when they have become a substitute for facts. Its summertime and I don't feel like doing the leg work to disprove them when I could be outside wasting my time instead.

And since my opin counts for exactly zippo WRT to final list.....its Miller Time!

308 vacancies. 37 captain, 271 first officer, mostly to the 737 and 756.

I wonder if the huge FO increase is due to a change in IRO requirements when FAR 117 goes ino effect on 4 Jan.
