So we vote this down. Then what if it takes 3 years to get a contract and we still don't fix reserve, but we just get the same pay raises that we could get now but we get them in 3 years? Voting no would be a frustration vote and nothing else. There are no concessions in this deal apparently. Just improvements. I think a lot of us would like the guaranteed something now vs the unknown maybe something maybe not in 3 more years. Either way the next deal could take 5 years ALA Southwest whether we take this or not. I'd rather be sitting here in 5 years with pay raises than sitting around with the same deal we have now wondering why we didn't take the deal and I voted NO on the current contract.
Wow you're scared to death aren't you? How much debt are you in that you need money this bad?

It's great that our furloughees are going to be made whole, but that is a small part of this pilot group. So as a junior pilot, the only thing that we get out of this deal is pay rates and to be worked harder because of FMRS concessions (presumably), and reduced career progression.
Not sure what the wording was of the letter. It could have been that the company wanted changes to reserve and we said "no" to making it worse. At this point we just do not know and will have to wait and see.

Obviously I don't need the money as bad as the people who left their lineholding positions and upbid to this terrible reserve system for the $$. If reserve so bad why upgrade and be on it? People on reserve are about 15% of the airline. If reserve is such a big priority, why didn't we demand fixing it now? Why did we vote this current system in? What makes you think we will have enough interest in changing it in 6 months?

Also, Putting reserve enhancements as 1 of the 5 bullet points then supposedly not fixing a thing is absolutely a concession.

Had ALPA and the company not put reserve enhancements as a topic of descussion no one would be complaining about it right now. Don't tell us you are going to fix something then do nothing and expect a yes vote.

You are on reserve still, but now on reserve for 16% more $. Is that considered an "enhancement"?

"We"--as in a lot of reserves filing PDRs and contacting our reps--did. Our negotiators have completely forgotten what is like to fly a line, much less be on reserve.

You're all about "what ifs". We ARE trying to fix it now that's why people are ****ed that it wasn't addressed. It may not get fixed in SEC 6 but we don't know. considering the amount of crap that needs to be fixed and clarified in our current contract SEC 6 may yield better results.

There is a pain scale here. How much pain can you live with and what out weighs that pain. If the rumors are correct then we will have current crappy book and current crappy reserve for an additional 2+ years all for a meager pay raise my pain scale will be pegged in the red.

I can live with my current pay rates for however long it takes to to fix our current UPA.

Absolutely it's an enhancement but that doesn't make the entire package an enhancement.

What makes you think they will fix it if we vote no? This is their 2nd chance to fix it and it hasn't happened. They could have fixed it on C2012 and this TA.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, "You must be a United Pilot?"

3rd times the charm?
