Yes, and no. Co-Domiciles, the call out time for reserve is the same for co-terminals, no difference. Short call is 2.5 hrs to show, or 3.5 to push. Long call is 12 hrs notice. If you drive, there are allowances for unplanned traffic problems. Prudent commuter policy in the FOM for those who commute.
EWR base is also responsible for LGA, & JFK, but we don't fly out of JFK any more. No customer interest there...

The normal call out (2.5 to show) still applies, with consideration given. Up to the crew desk what consideration is. Be hard pressed to say you can't make it in 2.5 hours when called at 0300 on a short call, especially if on probation.
20-A-4-a A Reserve in a Short Call window or a Lineholder in a telephone availability window must be able to report for duty (call-out time) no more than two hours and thirty minutes (2:30) after the Company's initial attempt at contact. Consideration shall be given to heavy traffic, construction, and similar circumstances. When the call-out time is less than three (3) hours, to effectuate an on-time Departure the Pilot may elect to pay for parking closer to the terminal and shall be reimbursed for such expense. Additionally, at Bases with co-terminals, consideration shall be given if the Pilot is given an assignment that reports at an airport that is not the primary airport of the Base.

What C11CDA said. I wouldn't push it--especially on probation. To my knowledge, this hasn't been tested. Normally the short end of the show time is unusual. Usually you will have more time and isn't an issue. Plan on the 2.5 to show.

Was this per pay period during training? How long did it take to see the first paycheck? The way I read the offer letter is that we will start on May 3rd and not see anything until June 1st.

I think there's an advance payment the day you start that is later deducted from your first paycheck. $750 rings a bell but not sure.

In addition, the paycheck on the first of the month is 50% of monthly guarantee (35 hours) from the prior month so the following check on June 16 will be much larger to reflect training pay for May.
I'm pretty sure that is not the case anymore.

You are paid in the rears. Like someone said, you are paid on the 1st and the 16th. The 1st paycheck is 35hrs for the previous month. The check on the 16th is for the remainder of the previous months flight hours in addition to per diem. The check on the 16th is always much larger.
