Kirby was in Denver ops a few weeks ago. Said will likely kick the 350 can down the road one more time to 2026 and then do a compete with Boeing for 100 aircraft to replace aging 772s. Prefaced with being big Airbus fan, but competition would get best price for either.

It’s interesting how many times this is going to get kicked down the road considering that the 350 was a package deal with Airbus for the airframes and Rolls-Royce for the engines. I would have thought that one of them would have told United to take delivery by now. My guess is that in 2026 the A350 will still be in question and the company will still be looking for a 767 replacement while complaining about the backlog of orders making future delivery years away. At least the inconsistency is consistent.

UAL recently wrote-off significant deposits related to undelivered aircraft but unfortunately was not more specific. Given the potential suspects, and the airplanes currently being delivered, I’m gonna assume it does not involve Boeing or GE.

It's been announced that we are parking three 757-200s this year, I've read elsewhere that one was already parked but don't know if that is accurate. That is it for retirements so far, but I'd expect some more next year. Also parking 4 320s and 2 319s this year.
