Officially, it will be the Teamsters on strike. They aren’t RLA. However, it’s written into our contract that we will not cross any UPS employee group’s picket line. In 1997 when the Teamsters struck, we walked the line with them. Regardless of the outcome of this TA vote, the IPA will not cross the Teamsters picket line. It is possible that UPS will cave and the strike won’t happen, but I’m assuming several weeks in August of no pay and sweating in blazer and hat on the picket line. (Which means I will have to find a hat and blazer)

You know why we won’t get any scheduling improvements?? Because we keep flying these piece of **** schedules. Ask any EB member how many fatigue calls per a certain number of flight segments and you will be amazed. As long as the boxes keep moving, the company has absolutely no incentive to do anything with the schedules.
Funny how greed overcomes all other senses.

July 31, 2023 the teamsters will probably strike. UPS totally expects them to walk out. It could be 24 hours or 2 weeks, who knows. It is in our contract that we honor the teamsters strike if they choose to do so. I do not expect any IPA pilots to cross the line.

On thing our current IPA president has truly mastered is the art of controlling the narrative. If anyone attempts to question the EB's (IPA President) logic, decisions, TA or etc there are a few chosen IPA members who will pounce on whoever is deemed out of line. It appears from reading the B&G that these select few palace guards are fed info from the EB to help guide the narrative (spin). Then there are the usual 20 to 30 hangers on who chime in and agree with whatever the EB puts out.
if you go back to the 2016 TA and peruse the B&G going forward the above description become quite obvious. Anytime there is a controversial issue within the IPA you will see this play out on the B&G. Very well played by the IPA president!

I have never and nor will I ever make a post on the B&G, but I have to say you are 100% full of crap. This OPINION of yours is not backed by any verifiable facts and only serves to divide and weaken our union. I certainly hope potential new hires don’t take this drivel seriously.
