Just out of curiosity, I don't think UPS would EVER do this, but could the hiring mins ever change from 1,000 TPIC to say 500? Again I doubt it would ever happen but was thinking of it just now.

I wasn’t always 1000. Never say never, but I’m not sure they hire enough that would warrant the change in their eyes.

PIC (assumed, required), Internal Rec, Job Fair, additional professional qualifications, in that order AFAICT. Good luck.

Captain upgrades are quick here so hoping to move over to the left seat when I can but regardless of the 1,000 TPIC, what would help make me competitive for UPS when the time comes?

For reference, 0 check ride/line check failures, 100% student pass rate as a CFI/Gold Seal CFI/-I/MEI, and a 4 year degree. Thanks!

Think about the whole-person/pilot concept. Consider getting involved in your community and your pilot group. Are you simply a pilot who can complete training and pass a check ride or are you also a good steward of the communities you’re a part of?

We will most likely have a system bid in June and whatever goes unfilled will be available for the new hires.

If you have heavy and/or international time (and maybe if you don't), expect 74 ANC. If you don't, could be anything except the MD or MIA. Probably.

UPS will NOT waiver from the 1000 TPIC.

Initially, I would expect vacancies in the 75/76 at Ontario and Louisville. They recently displaced folks from Miami and Anchorage.
