Why did the pilots decide to go with Teamsters over ALPA out of curiosity?

ALPA was not taking in new applicants at the time. Also we have/had a bunch of TWA guys/gals and the lawsuit was still pending with ALPA.

It seems that somewhere around 30 percent of new hires are from Republic. If the TA that RAH has recently achieved has decent language and the same signing and retention bonuses for current RAH pilots as the LBFO, that source may be about to run dry.

Just for example a senior RAH FO (generally the target of Allegiant's recruiting efforts) would be turning down a $21,000 bonus (provided he or she stayed at RAH for a year after signing) and $10K more per year in regular pay.

I think that a lot of people will find it hard to walk away from that to go to Allegiant.

Is the HNL base here to stay, or just a seasonal thing? Any word on if the Honolulu base still needs new hires? Are they sending the HNL guys TDY to Vegas at all? Thanks guys.

At first glance I thought your name was AlohaMuff, and I was going to award you with the screen name of the year prize, but alas, I misread it....
