ON THE DAYS I ACTUALLY WORK: doze until 9am, eat breakfast with the family, hit the gym (or go fishing, or the beach, or NFL Sunday), eat lunch with the family… 2 pm: 10 min drive to the airport, 1 landing in the logbook, home by 8-9 pm, crack a beer, eat dinner with the family, watch news, then I sleep next to my wife .

Wait, it gets better! I make $96/hr.

Waaaait, it gets even better! I’ve been here for 1.5 years with 200+ FO’s behind me... and some of the best dudes I've flown with.

Don’t forget, this place has been a “real” airline for only 16 years… Yes, there are some growing pains… exactly what you’d expect from a growing company in its teenage years with it's FIRST pilot CBA. However, if it’s this great after 16 years, I can’t wait to see what the next 16 years will hold. Any move I make will be a decrease in QOL!

Now your turn, A** Hat!
Yeah but it's Saturday night you could be staying in an airport Holiday Inn somewhere & get to watch TNT and 12 other free Channels and don't forget the $7 ham sandwich dinner at Subway!

Nailed it! The worst part… knowing the night before, some filthy pilot sat on the bed with the lotion in the exact spot you’re eating your subway!

So far I've only heard from two Airbus people, one in the top 1/3rd, the other 2nd or 3rd year? Both must live on base to make it work? 96$ Hour, 2nd or 3rd year? You could do better...

If you’re implying I’m on the bus, I’m on the 80. You don’t absolutely have to live in base to make it work… With a little seniority (6 months for me) and a basic understanding of our PBS, commutable lines are attainable. But why commute for day turns? That’s nonsense.

If your sole measurement of a sweet gig is the numbers next to “2 year FO,” you’re right, it could be better than $96. However, I like to measure a sweet gig by several things, like what I can do with all my free time at home! You know what comes with $116/hr 2nd year FO pay? A sweet commute, a hotel room, and shame… from eating a basket Applebee’s wings, which you’ll pay dearly for in the morning.

Dutch,
Glad you have found your home. I hope it continues to match up to your expectations.

Maybe you should. Personally, I'd really like to know why you're so interested in trolling an Allegiant thread? And it's not even good trolling it's lame. G4 new pay rates are on this parent site. Upgrade is less than 3 years. Add that to being home every night. Basically the QOL is better than any airline and the pay is right behind the big 4. So maybe you're mad because you're one of the 1% that got shot down. Maybe you're just miserable and bored at your 10th night of the month at a Comfort Suites next to an Applebee's at a rural interstate truck stop exit. Whatever is is, maybe you should stop picking on people and do something constructive to improve your career.
