Isn’t it the 162 nm limit that’s the trigger? My brain cells are dying faster than the replacements are showing up.

Time drives ETOPS wickets, derived from SE cruise performance, which is why it's slightly different for A32F (400nm) and 737 (~430).

The international qual is tied to extended overwater (162nm).

Thank you! ETOPS is also tied to suitable airport - “international” is any piece of dirt sticking out of the water.

Default 21 Aug 2018 class

LAX/FO/320/I 15
LGA/FO/320/D 7
LGA/FO/737/D 10
MIA/FO/737/I 5
PHL/FO/190/I 3

Do the LAX/320/*I* guys have to cover all the LA airfields (ah, what are they again) ...?. Or, does the greater LA coverage only apply to the 320/*D* guys?.

Think I know the answer, but ...

Also, I understand 'I' implies Hawaii, anything else unique to this 'label'?.

How senior to the 737 does the 320 go in MIA?

Same, but for ORD?

737 MIA goes to new hires. So, 3-ish months (a bid cycle essentially).

ORD does not have the 320.

Thanks.

I suppose a better question would have been: how long to get MIA 320 if awarded LGA/LAX 320 at Indoc... or ORD 737 if awarded LGA/LAX/MIA 737.

For now, LAX/320 is just LAX, 737 does the others. Subject to change of course. All LAX/320 are international.
