Yeah, we never know another one's situation.

I think we could max out another VPLOA is they would lower the age. I know a lot of folks that want out.

seems they are also being nitpicky about which categories they hand out the awards too also...In other words not awarding all the VPLOAs to 737 and 320 drivers they could.

Read a study today that the rapid tests have had a "false positive" rate of more than 28%. Some of the companies have lost their FDA authorization as a result (look at the stock ticker for CEMI). So, between false positive tests and manipulated numbers, it certainly looks bad. But it isn't.

The short answer is that we have NOT had a failed response, just a failed political system that is using this as a publicity stunt to try to regain what they lost previously.

Some states have 30+ positivity rate!! Per capita, death numbers are horrible compared to almost every country in the world. Why are we closing our eyes in front of the scientific evidence? We are flying the airplanes and should be much better than the cheap conspiracy theory. Let's get our crap together and leave this behind, so we can go back to flying planes, planes that we should thank science for.

Tests per capita is really the only metric that matters if you're going to discuss the quantity of tests.

And it appears that when those tests occurred (as in countries that tested early and got a grip on this early faired best) matters most. See South Korea.

What I really want to talk about is the union call today where they said furloughs are happening and they aren't discussing it.

What did they say about furloughs? I wasn’t able to listen in on this one.

 Just stay home-- forever. How could you possibly expected to brave this perilous world? Fear like yours is much more damaging than the virus.

That's not exactly what they said from what I heard. It was along the lines of, "we know furloughs are looming but we aren't going to talk about that today.."

Basically saying "yeah, we know it's on your minds but this phone call isn't about that"

Staying home? Who said Im staying home? Accepting this and fixing it like the rest of the world would help us all get out there. And again, not me personally, our PAX.

Yep, but our new, (just took nearly a month and a couple of extra members to make up for our President's screw up and the BOD's lack of oversight) NC will get right on it. Feel sorry for the junior guy that was set up as DDR to vote for his own furlough.

"I dealt with 8 years of the B scale son, so I can't say I feel bad for you" said the 777 FB in GSW for his three bounces in the sim.

The whole "Unity" thing is meant in jest, right??

Wander over to the AArena if you dare. Any idea of unity will evaporate in a nano second. It's a bunch of super senior guys who either think they still work for AMR or Us Airways. It's like Arpey and Horton are still here. Get real.

I'll tell you this. I'll tell everyone this. Regardless if I get furloughed or not. I will never, NEVER turn my back on any of our pilots regardless of how junior they are. And regardless of how senior I am. I'll remember what I'm going through right now and how it feels for the rest of my life. I'll break my back to spare anyone else from having to go through this.
