For those about to bid. We take no more Airbus deliveries until 2019. That would make me believe that anyone getting Airbus may stagnate in their position a little longer than 737 or 190. Still getting 737 deliveries and 190 is somewhat of a revolving door. If your goal is to get to DFW make sure you are ready to wait. Many pilots that I fly with are trying to get there. Maybe Sliceback could chime in on what he sees. He is a seniority maven and crunches numbers like an accountant.

I don't think the lack of AB deliveries, and getting 16 737's next year, should be a consideration for trying to get to DFW.
16 737's are just replacement airframes for the retiring S80's. Doesn't mean the airframes are going to DFW. They might put AB in DFW and put the 737's in another base for manning purposes.
16 737's is approx 176-192 jobs. PHL/CLT/UDC have 212 retirements next year. LAA, with roughly twice as many pilots, has 189.
Retirements more than anything else, IMO, will generate the secondary movement junior guys are looking for.
The company shows the same basic head counts in n/b bases for DFW, CLT, PHL and MIA through March.
I'd bid the AB. It gives you MIA, PHL, CLT, UDC, and LGA to transfer into if you can't get to CLT or DFW.
Right now most bases are available at approx the three month mark, or roughly a month after you finish training. You'd get that award notification while you're still in training.
DFW? S80 dropped to approx the eight month seniority. Might be a short term bid and they might get displaced out of DFW as the Long Beach Sewer Pipe is retired.
CLT has eighteen Jumpseats to DFW daily.
PHL has sixteen.
DCA has ten.
CLT and PHL cover one airport. AB there would be my first choice.
Free opinion.
