Maybe Sliceback could chime in on what he sees. He is a seniority maven and crunches numbers like an accountant.
The rumor around the school house is that there will be 10 - 15 MD-80 slots for new hires in the next few classes if your goal is to get to DFW the fastest. There is only a six month seat lock for new hires, so your very first fleet could change quickly IF you leave a lot of options in your preference bid. CLT is an easy commute from DFW, but it is very senior with little movement this year. That will likely change as more retirements start to happen, but it’s like trickle down economics. If you’re on the bottom you have to watch others get the benefits for a while.

Thanks.

Been getting conflicting information. Someone in pilot records at Envoy is convinced that AA is holding a 12/5 class. Some at AA say there may be one, while others say no. Not really sure who to believe.

Default Hiring Timeline

Since I've spent months crusing these forums for real information about the hiring process I wanted to share my timeline.

I just received a voice CJO from AA, timeline:

1 Jun 17 - App submitted
25 Sep 17 - Video interview email
30 Sep 17 - Video interview submitted
Additional email request in here a day or two after submission
4 Oct - Face-face email date request
7-8 Nov (first available) - Pilot Skills Test/ Face to Face interview
8 Nov (later that day/ 5 Hours after face-face interview)- phone call CJO, waiting on official email for drug test/back ground check

AA HR said expected INDOC is late Jan 18

Good luck everyone!
