Merry Christmas to all from Jerry Glass.

P.S. I bet two months pay that the LAX reps where informed yesterday.
...and so the next phase is here. This indicates there really was no negotiating, simply a take-it-or-leave ultimatum packaged as a "proposal" by Parker. The best tack now is to preserve as much as the Green Book as possible and deny Parker everything possible. I'll patiently wait the 12 months for a significant raise and Parker runs his airline.

I don't blame the 12 at all and in fact blame the 10 saboteurs for obviously weakening the group and giving Parker a foothold to drive a wedge between the pilots. Let's get it over with and let the next 12 months pass as quickly as possible.

P.S. I'll bet he's even closer to PHX then LAX and they helped him more then anyone.

Plus 4% on top of the current offer.

That would only help Parker and at this point regardless of where you stood in what WAS the negotiations stage, we ALL benefit by being unified against Doug Parker's management "team" from here on out.

The more we destroy ourselves, the weaker we are. At this point, it's critical for some housecleaning at APA.

I see a repeat of the Envoy strategy of last Summer. In that, Parker and Glass crafted the perception that the MEC was out of touch with the memberships desires and forced them to send a concessionary TA to the pilots against their will without their support. The pilot vote failed there, but if they can get enough pilots to drop to their knees here and sob, beg and cry, they my believe they can invalidate the APA leadership and negotiate directly with the pilots, many of whom are weak just like they did at Envoy.

Looks like they've got a few here ready to roll over.

It would appear the APA MEC is a trojan horse and there are reps within actively working on behalf of Parker's interests. That is our biggest problem now. The well is clearly poisoned.

FYI.

Of course it is the math. If Parker is willing to pay all that money to get concessions that he cannot get in arbitration, then obviously we know how much those concessions are worth, even though he won't give us the valuations. Jerry Glass isn't giving up anything this early in the negotiations. There is no doubt this is still a Net win for the company.

Pilots suck at negotiations. Negotiations just got started and people that don't like negotiations are ready to fold to make the discomfort go away, or they are 63+.

Not much? Are you a line holding captain of a wide body? If not, your progression will be delayed for years as the INT/DOM and HBT kick in. Glass always wins for the company always. The offer is without a doubt a Net win for the company.

Not much.. The APA isn't asking for much, and negotiations are not over until the APA says YES, or the arbitrator rules... If Parker will pay this much for what he can't have in arbitration, then there is no way he will ever let an arbitrator rule.

Glass just needs a YES, and he will get it far before an arbitrator rules.

Start the BOD recall wars.

My bad. Pilots don't have a JCBA so we don't get it. Just everyone else.
