The infighting will be legendary. Put on your helmet and jump in the foxhole, it's about to get ugly....

Or just maybe Parker will agree and bring the positive culture change he promised.... Right after he shows us his pet flying pig.

Well, well, well... now we know why DUI delayed their response from today until tomorrow..... He needed to give the LAX subversives time to publish their blast to torpedo the negotiations with infighting and division. (The wife is now yelling at the husband during negotiations over the new Cadillac, and she is hoping the kids will join in the berating of their daddy, in the middle of the showroom.)

Seems the LAX reps are jumping on the company side and castigating the BOD for daring to make a proposal.. and yes, after the APA floats arbitration again as punishment the LAX reps will look brilliant for being soft on the company and hard on their fellow pilots. "We told you not to over-reach against DUI and Glass. See, now the offer is worse and we better take the deal now. Hurry, hurry, hurry.. we are here to save us all."

Folks, this is exactly how we ended up with LOA 93. The subversives caused panic throughout the membership and caused a rebellion. Management just walked in and pulled the gold teeth out of the carcass.

They've been whimpering for weeks. Should Parker simply counter with minor sweeteners from his wants, it will make it more difficult for the Board to reject and get this past Christmas into the weekend. I still don't see where APA's latest counter is a TIOLI demand. I suppose it's possible but why would Parker delay an extra day if he's just going to Proffer arbitration ?

They'll look like idiots if more value is extracted. It's all noise, right ?

Parker is as happy as a pig in s!ht. He now stands on the precipice of a monumental decision between two fantastically, felicitous finales... 1) thrust the knife and break it off in the union forever, or 2) he can pull a little harder on a couple of reps and change the culture to "going for great". What to do? What to do?

He can counter with an unreasonable offer that will keep the 12 against him, and scream arbitration is imminent because you demanded it. The LAX Tokyo Roaches will spring to action and finalize the coup, the membership will revolt, the CLT PHL reps will be recalled, and the Tokyo Roach will be carried on our shoulders with the captured combatants of CLT PHL shamed in chains at the back of the parade.... Or Parker could just pull a few reps over by making a reasonable counter, and we could all live happily ever after.

Regardless, the only thing that matters is when the APA BOD will say "yes". It is all noise until then.

It is time for LAX pilots to duck tape their reps.

I would think Parker, Kirby and Jerry would have determined their response by yesterday and put the finishing touches on by end of business day, so I'm unsure of what benefit to them these last minute cries of capitulation will bring. These misguided chants could have the opposite effect of polarizing the BOD even more with the 12 majority digging in.

In that situation, it would make any chance of a deal post arbitration proffer even more tenuous which means should Parker pull the arbitration trigger, it may mean a stronger possibility of running the conflict though to an arbitrated award. Again, I don't understand the point of waiting one extra day if he was just going to put a pistol to the head of the process and proffer.

I still think some acceptance of some of APA's wants and rejection of others in the form of an LBFO is the most likely situation and in that case, it's very likely as you state.........the noise will then stop.
