If you don't listen to anything else that I say, know that the one thing that I have gleaned from being a "beaten down" US pilot is that if it ain't in very specific writing Parker will make your life miserable.
At the very moment that Parker got AA to throw Horton out, the employees became nothing but red ink- forever. Parker is never ever going to look at labor any other way. Shareholders like it. The board likes it. He's doing his job. At this point, I don't care which way this goes but at least know who you are dealing with. He is not offering you early money for nothin. You are not a human being. You are red ink and he will get it somewhere else.
You should see the heath care cost increases at Envoy. Something like 30%. Pay carrots can be wiped out so many other ways, but work rules are harder. Of course at Envoy, management just disregards them and considers the contract optional. Give you more pay now, but in 2015 or 2016 they'll find a mitigator to sneak that same amount back to their coffers to rebalance the bottom-line. You'll scratch your head wondering what happened, but not for long....you'll either have to scramble in panic for your 2-hour call out or get some sleep for your 2 am sim session.

Pass.

Most of us exist somewhere in the middle of the bell.
You could not be more incorrect about the "senior East guys." It is not at all shocking that Parker does not treat us with more respect, when we are no better. Although you did say "a few" - I would say "a few" from every group "got stoned to the bejesus on MOU and are now frantic on how soon they can stick the needle in."

Different ?

Not likely. Doug has shown his colors, made (and squandered) that all-important first impression and is now a known quantity. It really doesn't matter how the JCBA is resolved. Anderson's gotta be popping bottles of Chateauneuf du pape knowing his domination over AA is now assured.

Certainly not ALL of them, maybe even not "most" of them. The CLT and PHL reps said the right things AFAIC. Now, here on this forum ?

Well, like it or not, let's just say there ARE a few junkies lurking about and some thinking about trying the drug they're trumpeting are falling for their tales of brave Ulysses.

True- but I think that this is the nature of the beast (a blog) not so much a representative sample of senior East. We know more than most how Parker works.

I was giving you an example of how contracts work outside of aviation. The figures in the contract are irrelevant. The point is...valid contracts get shredded up and redone all the time. Don't like that example...how about this? US Airways agreed to provide the LUS pilots with a pension. Poof! Now it's gone. See that...situations change. Contracts change. It's reality.

Some folks...obviously not you...are not comfortable giving concessions in a time of record profits. Just a different viewpoint than yours. Don't take it personally.

Or, how about this? Bad choice D..if you're that hissed off that your coworkers are such idiots and don't listen to you, quit and go to Delta.

(Oh..wait a minute...bad choice, maybe for inline. You have to pass a "knowledge test" and a "psyche eval" to get a class at Delta. Well...maybe United, then!)

This thread has become nothing more than the same 5 clowns driving their little cars in a circle, each one arguing that they are the lead car.

But a relevant circle considering the circumstances.

Don't worry.....by the end of the day, it's likely to become a square.

And, yet, here you are. So, what does that say about you?
