Any info or company talk about how many hires they want to bring in and when to either throttle recruiting back or push pause?

No, but I understand that current hiring is for both attrition and growth (4 748s and 4 777s). Those aircraft typically fly augmented so my W.A.G. is it keeps up at current rates until they get the staffing they want - dunno if that’s 2900, 3000, etc, then throttles back for attrition.
Also I think a pause is likely given the 4-5 month training delays on the 767.

Yeah, as a junior pilot the attrition is exciting until you get off of first year pay and then realize at least half of the attrition come from the first year pilots below you in seniority. By the end of second year, you're mostly just watching the junior guys leave. CAs make nice money so they pretty much don't leave. All this is why Atlas can hire 800 pilots a year to a pilot group of 3000ish and still have five+ year upgrade times.

Yup, hiring at the majors seems solid so the hemorrhaging will continue as always. Unless something seriously impedes the economy (hmmmm wonder what that was, who knows what lies ahead), United just made the largest wide body order in history perhaps. Replacing some current iron but also focusing on international growth. Hopefully they keep or input a few of the 100 787s into the domestic coast to coast runs. Option for 100 more if I read correctly…

After a busy few weeks on my end, I finally had the chance to sit down and look over the vacancy information and put something together to provide information for folks looking to come aboard about base and seniority progression.
This is as of the June vacancy…
I’ve added a separate chart for the junior upgrades for each fleet as well.
