There will continue to be attrition but most of the Captains will stay. I think upgrade time for a current new hire will be closer to 7 years without company growth. I'm at 3.25 years right now and I know I won't be able to hold Captain in another 15 months. They probably hired 150 people in those 15 months... I bet it's another 2 years for me. Maybe more.

I passed the written test back in the fall, but I never heard anyting else back from HR. I am debating going to Women in Aviation so I can meet with the recruiters in person to see if that will get me an interview.
Does anybody here know or think that meeting them at a job fair will help get me that last step? Are there guys here who are convinced that a job fair got them the interview with Atlas?

I went to the job fair in MIA in January. I had done the written test just few days prior.

Still waiting for a call.

So does it help to see them? No.

On the other hand, if I was available to meet them again in DFW, I would. The more time they see my face with the jumping and crying until they call, the better I would think...

Not to conflict with will ask, but I know for a fact that going to a job fair is the sole reason I was called for an interview and eventually offered a job. One thing is for sure, going to a job fair is not going to hurt your chances of getting called, whereas not going is definitely not going to help....

Going to WAI Conference today. Hopefully Atlas can shed some light on what it takes to be hired there. I'll share what I find out.

Can anyone speculate as to how long the entire process takes from the time your app is submitted to being offered a training date. I've have a few internal recommends.

GV: You will see folks on this board who have been very proactive with updating, connections, attended job fairs, etc and are still waiting after a few years. There are some amazing chaps and chapettes who got the call within a few weeks after submitting the application. Everyone's mileage may vary.

For me, I had to let my application lapse for about 8 months because I could not meet the requirements (i.e. out on medical). I am in the process of updating my application as this was my primary company I wanted before. I have several internals and I know I can pass the written old and new.

I would recommend patience and persistence---humor always helps too. If you are a safecracker, breaking the HR Code will serve you well.

Best to all as always. For me, it is great to be back.
