The regionals voted no, it sucks for Envoy to get leveraged.

BUT, the regionals said "NO", DAL said "NO". I HOPE that SW says "NO" and FedEx does ALSO.

Seeing that much "NO" is GREAT TO ME!!!!!!!

After all the crap we've been though in this career in the post 9/11 era, the airlines are making profits, FUPM!!!!!!!

Default Reserve time/ hours

Been following the posts. First time writing.
I have the interview on Wenseday. Out of curiosity any idea on the next class date? Also once out of IOE whats the reserve time look like, and what kind of hours can one expect to be flying out of the month. Congrats to all who are interviewing and good luck to all.

Reserve works a little differently here, but I just bid for the first time and received a line with no "reserve" on it. (Although from what I understand, we are always kind of on reserve in that your schedule will change daily).

Ok. Gotchya. So, once is completed with all the IOE, I can start bidding on lines....not bad. A buddy of mine said as well that if you make it to the face to face interview, that the job is pretty much yours. Any insight? And any insight into what to focus on in training, aside from study study study.......i live in Miami, ill have to eat it for a year until i can appy for Miami as a base. But bases really dont mean anything.........this job is my dream job.........no wife no kids......

Keep in mind, if assigned the 767, there is no MIA base and you will be seat locked for three years.

Just curious when you were hired and what your 1st schedule looks like. That seems pretty amazing you didn't get any reserve

Depends on the training backlog. You can bid on lines after two months of OE, but if you haven't been called out yet, it'll all disappear anyway. Think of it as a footprint for days on/off. Right now, guys are waiting up to two months at home before getting called. YMMV.

The job may be yours if you make it to the interview, but if that's true, a fair number talk themselves out of a one. I wouldn't treat it as a gimme by any means.

And being a line holder just means you can't get extended into days off as easily as a reserve. Essentially, we're all on reserve, just with different callouts. We have no bid/trip pay protection, so you can be the most senior pilot in your seat and they can still blow up your trips at will.

Study study study in training. Especially on the 747, training is old school.

You are right. Obviously not going in acting cocky or anything. But selling myself by being myself. Not being a know it all, and being a social butterfly. Business casual, look interested, ive been reading the hell out of these blogs. Not gonna shoot myself in the foot. Really looking forward to this and even more so yo learning what equip ill be flying. From what i understand, after i finish oe ill be waiting for a short period. Why is this? Bcause of the lack of staffing i am assuming...
Aviation is pacience.

I wouldn't even say it's a "job is yours to lose" type thing.

When me, you, and A LOT of other people interviewed, the "average"
was about only 25-35% of those interviewed were hired. I'm not sure if it's still that way.

Whenever a place routinely hires 50% + 1, it truly is "your job to lose". When a place hires less than 50%, not so much......
