A big thank you to everybody that added anything meaningful to this thread, especially to the likes of 744driver (and others)
After two previous unsuccessful applications I did get an invitation to take the Online assessment.
Passed it this morning.....will be waiting for the phone-call..

To new applicants; the next interview session is Sept 28th-30th in NY; they have not confirmed when the October interviews will be.

With Allegiant, Envoy, and SWA/Delta getting TA's with significant pay increases, doesn't it seem that Atlas has nochooce of the direction they will have to go with pay and contract? I'm hooeful to get onboard at a time when things improve significantly...if not, I have excellent options already (including my current $100+k flying job with a mandatory retirement at 57...but our schedule is horrible.)

I've absorbed all of the input here, it will be something to consider with seriousness post interview.

YMMV, but I averaged 72 pay hours/month on the 767 over 3.5 years, and I was senior. I'd have to look back at the 747 to see how that turned out. Still haven't broken $100k/year and I'll be into 6th year pay next pattern, but like others, I value time at home when I can get it.

17 days with 2 additional to and from no pay days is a pretty ****ty schedule too my man. ****-tastic. Hey! But you get to see the world (basically seeing the same 6 places every other day with no control on a gahtdamm thing.) jump right in. The water is wet and close to boiling.

There are only a small number of people making good money at Atlas. They are very senior, they work a lot of extra days, and they manipulate the system. Most of us are not in that group.

As a 747 captain, I will be lucky to break $160K this year. You earn every penny at this outfit.

That does seem low compared with he legacies, but it certainly beats whatever the regionals are paying.... I'd still give Atlas a go if the legacies never called.

I've been here long enough to receive 13 paychecks reporting a whopping GROSS income of $19,858.55 for the year.

Let that sink in for a minute. I will receive 11 more paychecks before I go to second year pay. It can't be stressed enough to know what you're getting yourself into, understand the training here is not great, and you're going to hit the line feeling like you don't know nearly enough to do the job. The learning curve is steep and the pay for the work you are doing is horrendously low for first year considering the equipment you're flying, the destinations you're going, and the level of responsibility that you have.

I'm not kidding when I say that after 6 months on property you can be the most senior FO on the flight deck. Even if you have thousands of PIC hours coming into this job, relieving the captain for a break and realizing that the two guys up front have less than a year's worth of experience combined is pretty intimidating.....

I classed up on March 14th and I just checked my pay stub. Gross income, including my medical opt out of $1,145.87, is $16,247.20.
