They sure can.
And a 4 day extension would pay 24 plus the CRT. So they would be looking at paying a pilot nearly 40 some hours for 4 days of work.
And if they choose to extend to a 5 day- it would run the CO nearly 60 hours of pay.

Anyway, I am not sure what you were trying to imply. Just because the company has some flexibility to extend a reserve line holder, does not negate the effects of pilots not picking up extra flying.

That would be about 11 hours of pay. That flying is brutal but at least you get paid for what you fly at those companies. Unlike atlas where you get paid 4.85 to fly cvg-icn
Yes, you will get paid for your actual flying time. The grass is always greener on the other side. That said, I think most of us are trying to get out for the pay (myself included).

Not quite. The details are not yet for public consumption, but this AIP was done largely due to the efforts of a few tough pilots, the Local 769, and the personal work of IBT Airline Division Director Dave Bourne. The old plantation owner has left for retirement. Waiting around for attrition had never worked at AJT. What worked was the tenacious efforts of a small group of guys and girls for over 12 years. Hard, painful work, including a three week strike in 2009 wore down the management. It would have been achieved a lot sooner if 36th street wasn't so infected with scabs and compromised "pilots". These guys have actively tried to scuttle any serious negotiations between the two parties.
