It's training season and it's going to be a very interesting 12 months as we attempt to train our way out of our attrition problems like Atlas sort of did last year...

For those of you with upcoming interviews and those interested in coming to Atlas, make sure you are educated as to how much you will be making. DO NOT believe it when HR will tell you during the interview that you will make $90K your first year and around $120K your second year. Do the math yourself based on guarantee. Yes, there will be a couple months where you will credit around 70-75 hours, but plan your finances based on guarantee as you can be sent home early for no reason at all and go from a 75 hour credit line down to 62 just like that. If you call in sick during the month, you don't get paid for the hours you miss. You get taken down to guarantee. If you maximize your time off during your vacation and don't take your vacation days on your awarded days off, you will be at 62 hours. If you conflict bid your training, there is a good chance you will be at 62 hours. I can't stress enough to plan your pay based on your hourly rate times your guarantee and consider anything else a bonus. And don't plan on picking up open time either during the lack of negotiations.

For a point of reference, I was on third year pay for a good chunk of last year and didn't even gross $95K last year.

I'm on 6 year pay and I barely cracked $100K last year. True story.

I have spoken with many 76 FO's that are on target to make 50-60k first year after months of training delays. Think about that, 50k for flying a wide body jet in worldwide operations. That's criminal in my opinion but that is the reality despite what HR will tell you.

Almost 1 year at the company and YTD $39,504. Also 9 months of that to get from start to finish of IOE. Made more at the regionals...

Just thought I would throw my earnings in there for the benefit of those looking at coming to Atlas. I have been here for 9.5 months and as of the Dec. 30 paycheck have grossed $27,839.
