What are the pilot attrition rates for the 747 at the moment? How many pilots are due to turn 65 this year?

Very true. For the most part the ONLY incentive to ever upgrade is the pay scale (Building PIC time I guess is a consideration depending on the situation/future endeavors.) Schedule won't be better (unless you live in base and reserve isn't a senior pick), seat time is mandatory (3-4 crew compliment), unsure but OT may not be as accessible if you desire it, getting yanked around because you're a high demand low density asset and paid to manage and overall responsibility normally doesn't add to longevity. Need to be in charge than that's a plus.

Numbers for just the 747 won't be readily available. We are a single pilot group, one seniority list, and we can move between fleets on monthly vacancy bids (with corresponding seat locks).

Also, there are so many people bypassing upgrade to enjoy the schedule and pay benefits of being a super senior FO that attrition and retirement really doesn't help in determining how soon 747 upgrade will take.

All fleets.

You can request your fleet in the interview, but Atlas will assign you to a fleet based upon your experience, availability, and preference. The New Hire seat locknis only two years, so if you get the 767 but wanted the 777, well, enjoy the landings and segments the 76 offers, then bid out of it during one of our near-monthly system vacancy bids.

737 goes to the lower experienced folks.

Pay year one is essentially identical for all fleets. Hourly rate is the same and you'll probably credit 64 hours per month no matter the fleet. Year 2 is where you start to see a difference (Hourly Rates), and year 3 probably starts the big shift towards the 747 being the flying money bag (Seniority to hold higher credit lines and Open Time).

Too bad Atlas didn't have some type of experience credit to at least bypass first year garbage pay, if not an actualy longevity transfer for pay step.

As the swarm of people continue to leave this place, i would not be surprised if something of that sort were implemented.

Thank you for this... What bases per fleet are junior?
